JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the delivery of safe, optimal, quality nursing care for patients with vascular disease utilizing the nursing process, hospital policies and procedures, and professional nursing standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery. Demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment and leadership in the daily planning of patient care.
EXPERIENCE: 1-3 year's experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting preferred.
- Previous hospital experience in the Emergency Department or Intensive Care
JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess good verbal/written communications
- Must be able to communicate basic technical and medical information with patients in a way that is understandable.
- Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables where only limited standardization exists
- Certification in specialty area preferred but not
- Serve as the Circulating Nurse for Vascular based
- Perform the monitor roll as it pertains to Vascular based
- Transport patients to and from the Cath Lab
- Pull arterial and venous sheaths after training/competency.
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing holding an ADN or BSN. LICENSURE: Current licensure by the West Virginia Board of Nursing CERTIFICATION: BLS and ACLS certification within 60 days of employment.
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Basic clerical duties
- Basic understanding of Health Information System as it pertains to modality.
HOURS OF WORK: Must be able to work scheduled hours as dictated by business needs including flexing up and down to volume demand.
